The Dolomites is an Italian mountain range located in the north-western region of the country. They are one of the favorite paths for people who likes hiking and trekking. In this screensaver, Gianpaolo Bottin, an Italian software engineer and photographer, features a series of photos of the Dolomites taken by himself. The quality of the photos vary, but in general they are very well taken. They can be somewhat repetitive chromatically, since they were taken apparently on the same season of the year, so the mountains appear all dry and almost without any vegetation or snow. Nevertheless, the images give viewers a good idea about the sceneries that can be seen in that Italian region.
The screensaver itself is quite simple, since it does not have any sound or music background and its transition effects are just the average. It does have some configurable options, though, so you can enable or disable the transition effects, show or hide the system's clock and set the last-viewed image as your default wallpaper. Also, you can set the method for exiting the program (mouse movement, mouse click, keystroke or ESC key). So if you like mountain landscapes or enjoy well-taken photos, then this screensaver will be very enjoyable for you.
